Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the sensor lens. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
Once power is restored, the unit may require a moment to recalibrate; if it fails to operate, check the electrical connection.
Check the power supply connection to ensure it is live and confirm the sensor window is free from dirt, soap, or lime scale.
Clear any reflective objects or debris from the basin area that might be triggering the sensor; if persistent, check the solenoid valve for debris.
Ensure the device has a stable power supply and is not on an interruptible circuit that causes unintentional re-programming.
For proper installation, ensure the unit is connected to a dedicated, constant power source; avoid connecting to lighting circuits or switches that could interrupt the power flow, as this may cause the unit to lose its programming. Mounting should be done on a structurally sound, water-resistant wall surface. Regular care involves wiping the infrared sensor lens with a clean, damp, non-abrasive cloth to ensure clear signal transmission. Do not use harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads on the tap body, as these can damage the protective finish and obscure the sensor.
