Smartseal Concrete Floor Sealer - 2 x 5L

Coverage varies depending on the porosity of the concrete. Typically, one 5L container will cover approximately 20-25 square meters for one coat. Two coats are recommended, so plan accordingly.

This product is specifically formulated for internal situations. It is not designed for external use and may not withstand weathering.

The floor should be touch-dry within 1-2 hours. However, it is recommended to allow at least 24 hours for full curing before subjecting the floor to heavy traffic or placing heavy objects.

The sealer leaves a very subtle sheen finish. It does not typically make the floor slippery, especially when dry. However, always exercise caution on any sealed surface, particularly when wet.

This sealer is designed as a final coat and is not suitable as a primer for other floor coverings like tiles or vinyl. It cannot be painted over either.

The sealer provides hard-wearing, long-lasting protection. The actual lifespan will depend on the level of traffic and wear the floor is subjected to, but it is designed for durability in demanding environments.

This sealer penetrates the concrete to bind dust and stabilize the surface, leaving a subtle sheen. Concrete paints typically form a thicker layer on top of the concrete and can be used to change the color. This Smartseal product cannot be painted over.

Ensure the concrete surface is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants or existing sealers. The concrete may also be very dense; ensure even application.

This can occur if applied too thickly or in humid conditions. Ensure coats are applied thinly and evenly. If patches are minor, a second thin coat may help even out the finish. Ensure adequate ventilation during drying.

A second coat is likely required for comprehensive dust binding. Ensure the first coat was applied evenly and allowed to penetrate fully.

Ensure you maintain a wet edge during application to avoid lap marks. Use a good quality roller or brush and apply in a consistent pattern.
