Full details

The P&L Waterproof Oval Softee Bed is designed for pet owners seeking a durable, easy-to-clean, and comfortable resting spot for their dogs, particularly those prone to getting wet or dirty. Its key benefit lies in its robust, water-repellent construction and thermal insulation, ensuring pets stay dry and warm. FAQs

What are the overall dimensions of the bed?

The external dimensions of the P&L Waterproof Oval Softee Bed are H 22 x W 51 x L 61cm. Please note that internal measurements may have slight variations.

Is the entire bed machine washable?

The bed is designed for spot cleaning, wiping down with a damp cloth, or rinsing under a tap. The removable base cushion can also be cleaned in this manner. Machine washing is not recommended as it may damage the waterproof coating and filling.

What material is the bed made from?

The bed is covered in heavy-duty polyester material with a water-repellent coating and filled with bonded thermal polyester fibre.

Is this bed suitable for large dogs?

This specific model has dimensions of H 22 x W 51 x L 61cm, making it best suited for small to medium-sized dogs. P&L also offers larger sizes if available.

What is the warranty period for this product?

The P&L Waterproof Oval Softee Bed comes with a 12-month guarantee.

Can I use this bed outdoors?

While the material is waterproof and durable, it is best used as an indoor bed. Prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions may degrade the material over time.

What does 'drop front' mean for this bed?

The 'drop front' refers to a lower edge at the front of the bed, making it easier for dogs, especially older or less agile ones, to step in and out without having to jump over a high wall.

Troubleshooting

Bed does not seem waterproof.

Ensure the water-repellent coating is intact. While resistant to splashes and dampness, prolonged submersion may saturate the material. Check that seams are not damaged.

Pet is still cold.

The thermal filling provides insulation, but very cold environments may require additional bedding. Ensure the bed is placed away from direct drafts if possible.

Difficulty cleaning.

For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush to loosen it before wiping. Ensure the bed is fully dry before use to prevent smells or mildew.

The filling appears to be clumping.

This bed features non-clumping thermal polyester fibre filling. If clumping occurs, it may indicate moisture has penetrated the filling. Ensure the bed is dried thoroughly after cleaning.
