Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To set up the netting, first ensure your plants are adequately watered. Drape the netting directly over your crops, raised beds, or garden frames. For optimal protection, extend the netting beyond the edges of the area you wish to cover. Secure the edges firmly to the ground using garden pegs, rocks, or weights to create a complete seal against pests. If covering taller plants or rows, consider using hoops or a frame to keep the netting elevated and prevent direct contact with leaves, which can sometimes allow pests to crawl underneath.
Compatibility: This netting is compatible with a wide variety of garden layouts, including direct planting in the ground, raised garden beds, containers, and cold frames. It is suitable for protecting vegetables such as cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, beans, peas, and other susceptible crops. It can also be used for fruit bushes and small fruit plants.
Care: To maintain the netting's effectiveness, gently shake off any loose debris after use. If it becomes soiled, it can be washed by hand with mild soap and water, then rinsed thoroughly. Allow the netting to air dry completely before folding and storing. Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and sharp objects to prevent damage. The rot-proof and weather-resistant material means it can be stored outdoors in a sheltered location if necessary, but indoor storage will prolong its lifespan.
