Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Milescraft Exactor 9-In-1 Multi-Tool requires no complex setup. It is ready to use out of the box. Ensure the sliding components move freely before use; if they are stiff, a light application of a silicone-based lubricant can help. Always check that the locking mechanisms are secure before taking measurements or making marks.
Compatibility: This tool is primarily designed for woodworking and general DIY tasks. It is compatible with most standard woodworking materials such as wood, MDF, and particle board. It is not intended for use on metal or concrete.
Care: To maintain the accuracy and longevity of your Exactor, clean it after each use with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the markings and moving parts. Store the tool in a dry environment, away from extreme temperatures. Periodically check the tightness of screws and the smooth operation of the sliding parts. Ensure the scale markings remain clear; if they become obscured, use a fine-tip marker to carefully re-trace them if necessary.
