Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon arrival, ensure your jumbo plugs are watered if the compost feels dry. If you are not planting them immediately, keep them in a well-lit, frost-free area and maintain consistent soil moisture.
Planting Steps
- Prepare a planting hole or a pot with high-quality, rich, moisture-retentive compost.
- Gently remove the plug plant from its transit tray, taking care not to disturb the root ball.
- Place the plant at the same depth it was in the plug tray.
- Firm the soil gently around the roots and water thoroughly.
Care Instructions
- Soil: Use organic-rich soil that retains moisture but allows for drainage.
- Positioning: Choose a spot with dappled shade or partial shade to prevent leaf scorch.
- Maintenance: During the first year, monitor moisture levels closely, especially during dry spells. Once established, these plants are quite resilient.
