Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
- Clean: Before first use, wash all removable parts (freezer bowl, paddle, lid, dispenser parts) in warm, soapy water. Wipe the main motor unit with a damp cloth.
- Pre-freeze Bowl: Place the empty 1.42L freezer bowl in the coldest part of your freezer for 8 to 24 hours, or until it is completely frozen. The freezer temperature should ideally be 0°F (-18°C) or colder.
- Assemble: Once the bowl is frozen, assemble the machine components, ensuring the churning paddle is correctly seated in the motor housing.
- Placement: Place the assembled unit on a clean, stable, and dry kitchen countertop.
- Power: Plug the machine into a standard household electrical outlet.
Compatibility
The Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker is designed for home kitchen use and is compatible with a wide range of liquid dessert mixtures, including recipes for soft serve ice cream, gelato, sorbet, slushies, granita, and frozen yoghurt. It integrates seamlessly into most kitchen environments.
Care
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ice cream maker. The machine is designed for easy cleaning.
- Disassemble: After each use, unplug the machine and carefully disassemble all removable parts.
- Wash Removable Parts: Hand-wash the freezer bowl, churning paddle, lid, and dispenser components in warm, soapy water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scourers that could damage surfaces.
- Clean Main Unit: Wipe down the main motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing to prevent mildew or odors.
- Storage: Store the machine in a clean, dry place, ensuring the freezer bowl is dry before placing it back in the freezer for future use.
