Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your plant thrives, choose a location with rich, moisture-retentive soil that offers good drainage. While it tolerates partial shade, full sun exposure often encourages more vibrant stem coloration and stronger aromatic oil production. If planting in the ground, consider sinking the pot into the soil to limit the spread of the root system. Maintain soil moisture levels consistently, especially during the height of summer. Pruning back the stems after the flowers fade in October helps the plant remain tidy and encourages healthy growth for the following spring. As a plant raised in a Scottish nursery, it is well-acclimated to temperate climates and hardy enough to survive standard seasonal changes.
