Primaplus compression fittings are a premium brass fitting, manufactured in Britain. Primaplus compression fittings can be used for a variety of installations including water and gas. Made in Britain to EN 1254 standard, and fully WRAS approved, you can be sure of a perfect fit each time. PrimaPlus fittings are also kite marked, ensuring that they are to the highest British standard, setting them apart from others manufacturers. Kite marked approval BS Standard. WRAS approved for use with drinking water. Manufactured to EN 1254 standard. This olive is manufactured from copper which is softer than its brass equivalent so tightens as a seal easier The brass alternatives are harder than this copper olive but can offer greater mechanical strength by biting into the pipework through greater tightening force Copper olives are better for use with plastic pipe as they form a seal with less tightening force on the softer pipe The use of PTFE tape is not necessary as the olive forms the seal and not the thread. The use of PTFE on the thread can restrict the ability of the olive to form a seal.
