Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Drill a dowel hole in the first piece of wood to the desired depth and diameter.
- Insert the appropriate size Faithfull Centre Point into the drilled hole, ensuring the blunt end is fully seated.
- Position the second piece of wood precisely against the first, aligning it as required for the joint.
- Apply firm, even pressure to the second piece of wood. This will cause the tip of the centre point to mark the exact location for the corresponding dowel hole.
- Remove the second piece of wood and drill the marked hole to the appropriate depth.
Compatibility:
These centre points are designed for use with standard dowel pins and compatible with most common wood types. They are suitable for use with metric dowel sizes such as 4mm and 8mm.
Care:
- After use, wipe clean with a dry cloth to remove any wood dust or debris.
- Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion.
- Keep the pointed tips protected to maintain accuracy and safety. A small container or pouch is recommended.
