Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Connect: Plug the KeyLab Essential 61 MK3 into your computer using the provided USB cable. This cable provides both power and data connection.
- Install Software: Install the Arturia Software Center (ASC) from the Arturia website to manage your bundled software and drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions within ASC to install your included instruments and effects.
- DAW Integration: Launch your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). The KeyLab Essential is designed for seamless integration; often, it will be automatically recognized. If not, consult your DAW's MIDI or control surface settings to select the KeyLab Essential as your controller.
Compatibility:
The KeyLab Essential 61 MK3 is compatible with most major DAWs on macOS and Windows, including:
- Ableton Live
- Logic Pro X
- Pro Tools
- Cubase
- FL Studio
- Studio One
- Reaper
It also functions as a standard MIDI controller with any software or hardware that accepts MIDI input.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the surfaces. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish.
- Environment: Keep the controller away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and excessive moisture.
- Handling: Handle the unit with care, especially the keys and pads, to ensure longevity.
