Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Compatibility: Verify that the coolant is compatible with your vehicle's make and model. Check your vehicle's owner's manual for the correct coolant specification.
- Draining the Old Coolant: Allow the engine to cool down completely. Locate the drain plug on the radiator and place a suitable container underneath.
- Flushing (If Necessary): If your system is contaminated or if recommended by your vehicle's service manual, flush the cooling system with a suitable flushing agent before adding the new coolant.
- Adding the New Coolant: Pour the Febi Bilstein Coolant into the radiator until it reaches the indicated fill line. If your vehicle has a coolant reservoir, fill it to the appropriate level as well.
- Bleeding the System: Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to allow the coolant to circulate and remove any air pockets. Top off the coolant if necessary.
- Regular Checks: Check the coolant level and condition regularly (e.g., every month). Monitor for leaks and any signs of corrosion.
Care: Store the coolant in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Properly dispose of used coolant according to local regulations.
