FAQs

What is the purpose of the Probe Lead?

The Probe Lead's unique shape transmits information about the lakebed's composition, allowing you to identify features.

Can I use this kit with any rod and reel?

You should use a rod and reel suitable for casting the weight of the setup. Ensure your rod is rated for the lead weight (3oz).

How do I maintain the float kit?

Rinse the kit with fresh water after each use and check for wear and tear.

What kind of fishing line should I use?

The kit is compatible with most standard fishing lines. Braided main lines can increase sensitivity.

What do I do if my float is difficult to see?

Use high-visibility braid or a marker float with a bright color. Consider using a pair of polarized sunglasses.

Where can I buy replacement parts?

Replacement parts are usually available at most fishing tackle retailers.

Troubleshooting

Tangles during casting

Ensure the line is free from twists before casting. Use a smooth casting action and avoid overcasting. Check the leader and mainline for damage.

Difficulty feeling the lakebed

Use a braided main line to increase sensitivity. Retrieve the line slowly and pay close attention to any changes in resistance.
