Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure you have a compatible Draper D20 battery and charger (sold separately). Charge the battery fully before first use. Insert the charged battery firmly into the tool's battery port until it clicks into place. Select the desired accessory and securely insert its shank into the 3.2mm chuck, tightening it with the provided wrench or appropriate tool. Attach the flexible shaft and pen holder if needed, ensuring all connections are secure.
Compatibility: This tool is part of the Draper D20 interchangeable battery system. Batteries and chargers from other Draper D20 tools are compatible. Ensure any accessories used have a 3.2mm shank diameter.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, unplug the battery. Wipe down the tool exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners. Keep ventilation slots clear of dust and debris.
- Accessory Maintenance: Clean used accessories as needed. Store accessories in their designated storage area or a suitable container.
- Storage: Store the tool and accessories in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the battery stored separately if not in use for extended periods, preferably with a partial charge.
- Chuck Maintenance: Periodically check the chuck for debris and ensure it tightens and loosens smoothly.
