Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These drill bits are designed for use with standard corded or cordless drills and drivers that accept the bit shank size. Ensure the bit is securelyclamped in the drill chuck.
Compatibility: Compatible with most standard drill chucks (keyless or keyed) that can accommodate the shank diameter of the bits. Suitable for drilling into wood, plastics, aluminum, and mild steel.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the bits clean with a dry cloth to remove debris and metal shavings. For stubborn residue, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
- Storage: Store the bits in their provided plastic case to prevent damage, corrosion, and loss. Ensure bits are dry before storing.
- Lubrication: For drilling into metal, consider using a cutting fluid or lubricant to reduce friction and heat, extending bit life. This is not typically necessary for wood or plastic.
- Usage: Avoid excessive force or twisting, especially with smaller diameter bits, to prevent breakage. Use appropriate speeds for the material being drilled.
