Mylands Chalk Farm No.53 - Masonry Paint - White

This product is specifically formulated as a masonry paint for exterior use. Mylands offers separate ranges, such as Marble Matt Emulsion, for interior walls.

On most sound masonry surfaces, it can be applied directly, but highly porous or chalky surfaces should be treated with a suitable masonry primer first.

For best coverage and durability, we recommend two full coats, ensuring the first coat is completely dry before applying the second.

While the flat matt finish is durable, it is designed primarily for external masonry and is not considered 'washable' in the same sense as an interior silk or satin finish.

Since this is a water-based paint, simply wash brushes thoroughly with warm soapy water immediately after you finish painting.

The paint is formulated for exterior durability, but like all pigments, some subtle natural weathering may occur over a long period of intense UV exposure.

This usually indicates the surface was not properly cleaned or contained loose material; remove loose areas, clean thoroughly, and re-prime before repainting.

Ensure you are using a roller with the appropriate nap for the wall texture and avoid over-spreading the paint; maintain a 'wet edge' while working.
