Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your boots last, it is recommended to wear them around the house or on short walks to 'break in' the suede and midsole before embarking on a multi-day hike. Regarding care, always brush off loose dirt after a trail session using a soft-bristled brush. If the suede becomes heavily soiled, use a dedicated suede cleaner and allow the boots to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators or campfires, as excessive heat can degrade the adhesives and leather. Because these boots feature a high-volume fit in the toe box, they are highly compatible with thicker wool hiking socks, which provide additional moisture-wicking and cushioning benefits.
