Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surfaces to be sealed or bonded are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. For best adhesion, lightly abrade non-porous surfaces.
- Cut the nozzle tip to the desired bead size. A 45-degree angle cut is recommended for most applications.
- Apply using a standard sealant gun, ensuring consistent pressure for an even bead.
Compatibility:
This sealant adheres well to a wide range of common building materials including concrete, brick, masonry, wood, plaster, metals, and some plastics. It is recommended to test on a small, inconspicuous area if unsure about specific material compatibility.
Care:
- Application Temperature: Avoid application in temperatures below 5°C or above 40°C. Optimal results are achieved within moderate temperature ranges.
- Storage: Store unused tubes in a cool, dry place, upright, and sealed. Follow manufacturer recommendations for shelf life.
- Cleaning: Uncured sealant can be cleaned using appropriate solvents or damp cloths. Cured sealant can be removed mechanically or by using specialized sealant removers.
