FAQs

What colors of paint does this pen work on?

The T-Cut Scratch Magic Pen is designed for use on all paint colors and finishes, including metallic paints.

How long does it take for the product to dry?

The product has a rapid drying formula. Allow 24 hours for full curing before polishing.

Do I need to use any other products with the pen?

Yes, after the product has dried, use T-Cut Original Restorer to polish off any excess product for a smooth finish.

How do I apply the product to a deeper scratch?

For deeper scratches, use the fine nib applicator and apply several coats, allowing approximately 30 minutes between each coat to build up the coating.

Can this pen fix deep scratches?

The pen is designed to disguise and mask scratches and stone chips. For very deep scratches, it may not provide a perfect repair.

How long does the repair last?

The durability of the repair depends on the scratch's depth and exposure to the elements. The protective coating helps prevent further damage and extends the life of the repair.

If you apply too much product, you can remove the excess with T-Cut Original Restorer after the coating has dried.

Troubleshooting

The scratch is still visible after application.

Apply additional coats, allowing sufficient drying time between each. Ensure you've removed any excess product after curing with T-Cut Original Restorer.

Shake the pen vigorously. If the issue persists, gently squeeze the pen to prime the nib or brush.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

  1. Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean and smooth. Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly.
  2. Application: Shake the pen well before use. Choose the correct applicator (precision brush or fine nib) based on the scratch's size.
  3. Application Technique:
  • Narrow Scratches: Use the precision brush in a single stroke.
  • Wider Scratches: Use the fine nib, applying several coats, waiting 30 minutes between each.
  1. Drying & Curing: Allow the applied coating to dry and cure for 24 hours.
  2. Polishing: Once dried, polish any excess product using T-Cut Original Restorer.

*Important:* Always test in an inconspicuous area before treating larger areas to confirm compatibility with the paint finish. Do not push the nib end into the paintwork to avoid causing further damage. This product is designed to disguise scratches, not to provide a perfect repair.
