This Park Tool BBT-59.3 is designed for cyclists and mechanics who need a precise tool for installing and removing specific threaded bottom brackets. Its key benefit is the secure, non-slipping engagement thanks to its CNC-machined 16-notch fitting and compatibility with the BBT-RS system. A caveat is its specific compatibility with only certain Shimano bottom brackets.

No, this tool is specifically designed for bottom brackets with a 16-notch configuration and the dimensions mentioned. It will not fit bottom brackets with different notch counts or sizes.
The BBT-RS is an optional Bottom Bracket Tool Retaining System sold separately by Park Tool. It provides adjustable, consistent pressure to keep the tool fully engaged with the bottom bracket, preventing slippage. The BBT-59.3 has integrated threads to work with it.
The BBT-59.3 features a 3/8" square drive, making it compatible with standard 3/8" drive ratchet wrenches and torque wrenches.
After use, clean the tool with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals. Store in a dry environment to prevent corrosion and ensure the longevity of the precision-machined notches.
Yes, the BBT-59.3 is precision CNC-machined from aluminum and features an anodized finish for durability and identification.
Verify that your bottom bracket has a 16-notch fitting and matches the specified dimensions (minor diameter 39mm, major diameter 41mm-42mm). This tool is designed for specific Shimano models.
Ensure the tool is fully seated into the bottom bracket notches. For difficult cases, consider using the Park Tool BBT-RS Bottom Bracket Tool Retaining System (sold separately) for added pressure and stability.
Check for frame interference or seized bearings. Ensure you are using a suitable drive tool (ratchet or torque wrench) and applying steady, even pressure. If the bottom bracket is seized, professional assistance may be required.
Compatibility: The BBT-59.3 is designed for bottom brackets with 16-notch tool fittings and a minor diameter of 39mm and a major diameter of 41mm-42mm. It is specifically compatible with Shimano Ultegra BBR60 and Deore XT MT-800 bottom brackets.
Setup: To use, select the appropriate 3/8" drive ratchet or torque wrench. For enhanced stability, integrate the BBT-RS Bottom Bracket Tool Retaining System by threading it onto the integrated threads of the BBT-59.3.
Care: Clean the tool after each use with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion. Periodically check the 16-notch fitting for any debris or damage that could affect its grip.
