These are exclusively designed for metal-to-metal (aluminium to steel/tungsten) connections. Avoid using them with nylon or plastic shafts, as the material of these shafts is not designed for the compression force required, which may cause the shaft threads to crack or strip. Store the unused rings in the provided packaging to keep them clean and away from direct sunlight, which can degrade rubber over long periods.
