Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Disassemble: Before first use, separate all parts of the bottle (teat, screw ring, bottle body, lid).
- Clean: Wash all components thoroughly in warm, soapy water. Use a bottle brush to ensure all milk residues are removed.
- Sterilize: Sterilize all parts according to your preferred method (boiling for 5 minutes, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or cold water sterilizing solution). Ensure parts do not touch the bottom or sides of the sterilizer if boiling.
- Assemble: Once dry, reassemble the bottle. Push the teat firmly into the screw ring from the top until it clicks securely. Screw the assembled teat and ring onto the bottle body.
Compatibility
The MAM Easy Active Bottle is designed to work seamlessly with other MAM products. The SkinSoft Teat is generally compatible with other MAM bottle ranges, allowing you to interchange teats if you wish to use different flow rates (though this pack comes with Fast Flow teats). This offers flexibility if your baby's feeding needs change or if you own other MAM bottles.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, disassemble the bottle and wash all parts immediately. The wide openings facilitate easy cleaning. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Sterilization: Continue to sterilize bottles regularly, especially for younger babies. Always follow the instructions of your chosen sterilizing method.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the teat for any signs of wear, tear, or damage. Replace immediately if any damage is found. Also, check other bottle components for cracks or degradation.
- Storage: Store cleaned and sterilized bottles in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.
- Dishwasher Safety: Info needed: Dishwasher safety. Generally, MAM bottles are top-rack dishwasher safe, but hand washing is often recommended to prolong the life of the bottle's markings and prevent material degradation from harsh detergents.
