Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Verification:
Before installation, confirm that this ABS sensor is compatible with your specific vehicle model, year, and trim. Check the "Compatible PEUGEOT models," "Compatible CITROËN models," and "Construction Year" specifications against your vehicle's details. Ensure your vehicle is *not* equipped with a parking assistant system, collision warning system, or park distance control, as this sensor is designed for vehicles without these features.
Installation:
- Safely lift and support the vehicle.
- Locate the faulty ABS sensor on the rear axle (left or right side).
- Disconnect the electrical connector of the old sensor.
- Remove the old sensor, which may be held by a bolt or clip.
- Clean the mounting area on the wheel hub or axle.
- Install the new Ridex 412W0912 ABS sensor.
- Secure the sensor with its mounting hardware.
- Reconnect the electrical connector.
- Lower the vehicle.
*Note: Professional installation is recommended if you are not experienced with automotive repairs.*
Care:
This is a sealed electronic component and generally requires no maintenance. Keep the area around the sensor clean to prevent debris buildup. Avoid using high-pressure washing directly on the sensor or its wiring.
