Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before installation, verify that your laptop officially supports DDR5 SO-DIMM memory. Consult your laptop manufacturer's specifications or support documentation. Ensure the system's BIOS/UEFI is up-to-date, as this can sometimes improve memory compatibility.
Installation:
- Power off your laptop completely and disconnect the AC adapter.
- Discharge any static electricity by touching a grounded metal object.
- Open the laptop's access panel for the RAM slots (refer to your laptop's manual).
- Locate the existing RAM module(s) and carefully unclip them.
- Align the notch on the new Hypertec memory module with the slot's key.
- Gently insert the module into the slot at a slight angle, then press down firmly until the clips engage.
- Replace the access panel and reconnect the AC adapter.
- Power on the laptop. The system may take a moment to detect the new memory.
Care:
- Handle the module only by its edges to avoid touching the gold contacts or chips.
- Store in an anti-static bag when not installed.
- Avoid exposing the module to extreme temperatures, moisture, or dust.
