Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before starting the installation, ensure the engine and exhaust system are completely cool to prevent burns. Always verify that your vehicle's ECU reset procedure is performed after installation to clear any existing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Use a dedicated oxygen sensor socket to prevent damage to the sensor housing during installation. Do not use standard wrenches, as they may slip and damage the wire or connector. Ensure the electrical connector is clicked firmly into place and clear of hot exhaust components. The sensor threads come pre-treated with anti-seize compound from the factory; do not add additional lubricants, as these can contaminate the sensing element and lead to premature failure.
