The FloPlast 110mm 45 Degree Double Socket Junction is designed for professional drainage contractors and DIY home improvers needing a reliable component for wastewater and foul discharge systems. Its primary benefit is the push-fit connection mechanism that significantly reduces installation time while ensuring a secure, leak-proof seal for underground drainage runs; however, users should note that it is intended specifically for gravity-fed drainage systems and should not be used in pressurized lines.

This product is specifically engineered for underground drainage systems and is not recommended for above-ground applications due to the specific UV and thermal requirements of exterior piping.
No, this is a push-fit system. Glue should not be used as it prevents the necessary movement required for thermal expansion.
While both use 110mm outer diameters, drainage pipe is thinner-walled than soil pipe. It is recommended to use dedicated drainage pipe for underground gravity runs.
This is a fixed 45-degree junction, which is ideal for smooth flow redirection without creating excessive turbulence.
Ensure the pipe is pushed fully into the socket until it hits the internal stop, and confirm the ring seal is clean and properly seated.
Check that the pipe end is chamfered and clean. Apply an approved silicone-based pipe lubricant to the pipe end to reduce friction.
Ensure the pipe has not been inserted at an angle. Check that the ring seal is properly seated within the groove and has not been pinched or displaced during insertion.
To install, first verify that the pipe end is free of debris and burrs. Apply a small amount of lubricant specifically designed for drainage systems to the pipe end if resistance is felt during insertion. Always leave a small gap (approximately 10mm) between the pipe and the base of the socket to allow for thermal expansion during temperature fluctuations. Regularly inspect your drainage inspection chambers to ensure no debris has accumulated at junction points, and flush with water as needed. This fitting is fully compatible with most standard 110mm PVC-u underground drainage systems and various traps and gullies.
