Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Identify the optimal placement for the band: 45-60cm (18-24 inches) above soil level on the tree trunk or stakes.
- Remove any loose moss or bark from the application area to ensure good adhesion.
- Cut a length of the glue band approximately 3cm longer than the circumference of the tree trunk.
- Carefully peel off the backing paper from the glue side of the band.
- Wrap the band around the tree trunk, ensuring the glue side faces outwards.
- Use the provided string (or your own) to tie the middle of the band around the tree. The extra 3cm of band material will help secure it in place.
Compatibility:
These glue bands are suitable for most fruit trees, including apple, pear, plum, cherry, and more. They are also effective on garden stakes used for support. The clear, non-toxic glue is safe for the tree bark.
Care:
The glue bands are designed for single-season use. After approximately 6 months, or when they become saturated with pests and debris, remove and replace them with fresh bands. No special cleaning is required; simply replace as needed.
