Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: No setup is required for these scissors; they are ready to use out of the box.
Compatibility: These scissors are designed for general use and are compatible with most common household materials such as paper, cardboard, light fabric, and food items. They are not designed for cutting metal, thick plastic, or other heavy-duty materials.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the blades and other components clean with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or submerging the entire unit in water.
- Drying: Ensure the scissors are thoroughly dried after cleaning to prevent rust, especially on the metal components.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of food-grade lubricant to the pivot point to ensure smooth operation.
- Storage: Store the scissors in a dry place, preferably in their protective sheath if one is provided, to keep the blades sharp and prevent accidental injury.
