The Mahle Engine Oil Filter OX436D is an essential maintenance component for automotive enthusiasts and DIY mechanics who prioritize engine longevity and precision engineering. This filter insert provides superior filtration to protect internal engine components from contaminants, ensuring consistent performance and reduced wear; however, users must ensure they have the correct oil filter housing tool and a compatible vehicle model before installation, as this is a cartridge-style insert rather than a spin-on unit.

Yes, the OX436D includes the necessary gaskets and seals required for a standard filter change.
Mahle provides a 2-year or 30,000-mile warranty against manufacturing and material defects.
This is a filter insert (cartridge-style), which goes inside your existing reusable filter housing.
The filter is 109.5 mm in height and 70.0 mm in diameter.
It is recommended to follow your vehicle manufacturer's oil change interval or the interval specified by your engine oil brand.
Verify that the new gasket was seated correctly in the groove and that the filter housing cap is tightened to the specified torque.
Ensure you are using the correct cap-style housing wrench and that the engine has cooled sufficiently to prevent housing deformation.
To install the OX436D filter, locate your vehicle's oil filter housing, typically found near the engine block. After draining the old oil, unscrew the housing cap using an appropriate wrench. Remove the old filter element, discard the old O-ring gasket, and replace it with the new one included in the box. Lubricate the new seal with a thin layer of clean engine oil before seating the new OX436D filter into the housing. Tighten the cap to the manufacturer's specified torque rating to prevent leaks. Always check for oil pressure warnings on your dashboard immediately after starting the engine post-installation.
