Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before starting the installation, verify that the unit is compatible with your specific vehicle make and model by checking the manufacturer's cross-reference list. Since the unit does not include gaskets or seals, you must purchase a dedicated hardware kit specific to your vehicle fuel tank flange.
- Ensure the fuel tank is drained or depressurized before accessing the unit.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
- Clean the area around the fuel pump flange to prevent debris from falling into the tank.
- Install new gaskets or seals to ensure a leak-free seal.
- Secure all electrical connectors and ensure the fuel lines are seated properly.
- After installation, cycle the ignition to the 'on' position without starting the engine to prime the system and check for leaks.
