Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack the two X-frame bench legs.
- Position your chosen tabletop or bench surface upside down on a protected, flat area.
- Align the pre-drilled holes on the legs' mounting plates with your desired placement on the underside of the tabletop.
- Secure the legs using appropriate screws or bolts. For wood surfaces, wood screws are recommended. For other materials, ensure you use fasteners compatible with both the leg's mounting plate and the tabletop.
Compatibility:
These legs are compatible with a wide range of tabletop materials, including solid wood, MDF, plywood, stone (e.g., granite, marble), and concrete. Ensure the tabletop is rigid enough to support its intended use and the weight of the legs. The leg's mounting plate has pre-drilled holes suitable for standard screw sizes.
Care:
To maintain the appearance and longevity of the cast iron legs:
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the painted and lacquered finish.
- For spills, dry the area immediately.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture, which can lead to rust over time, despite the protective coating.
