Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Select the appropriate bungee cord for your needs based on length and required tension.
- Attach the hook to a secure anchor point. The coated hooks are designed to minimize scratching on most surfaces.
- Stretch the bungee cord to the desired tension and secure it to another anchor point.
- For longer reach, link multiple bungee cords together by threading one hook through the loop of another, or by using the provided carabiner clips.
- Utilize accessories like ball bungees for tarps or carabiner clips for more secure or specific attachment needs.
Compatibility:
These bungee cords are compatible with most standard anchoring points, such as tie-down loops, roof racks, trailer hitches, tent poles, and sturdy furniture frames. The variety of included accessories allows for adaptation to different securing scenarios.
Care:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check cords for signs of wear, such as cuts, nicks, or fraying, especially after heavy use or exposure to harsh weather.
- Cleaning: Clean the cords and hooks with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals that could degrade the rubber or coating.
- Storage: Store the set in the provided zipper bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use to prolong their lifespan. Ensure cords are not stored under constant tension.
