Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To install the Antex 2.3mm soldering iron tip, ensure your soldering iron is unplugged and has cooled down completely. Loosen the retaining mechanism (often a nut or screw) on the soldering iron handle. Carefully remove the old tip, then insert the new 2.3mm tip, ensuring it is seated firmly. Retighten the retaining mechanism securely but do not overtighten. Allow the iron to heat up slowly and perform a 'tinning' process by applying a small amount of solder to the tip immediately after it reaches working temperature.
Compatibility: This tip is designed for the following Antex soldering iron models: CS, TCS, TC50, SD50, XSTC, A245, A545, and A718. Always verify your soldering iron model number before purchase to ensure compatibility.
Care: To maintain the longevity and performance of your tip, always clean it on a damp sponge or brass wool before and after each use. *Tin* the tip immediately after cleaning by applying a fresh coating of solder. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive force when cleaning. Store the soldering iron properly when not in use, ideally with a tinned tip.
