Troubleshooting

Lights do not turn on

Ensure the battery is charged. Try recharging via USB-C to rule out solar charging issues. Check that the power button is pressed correctly. If the issue persists after charging, contact customer support.

Solar charging is slow or ineffective

Make sure the solar panel is clean and placed in direct, unobstructed sunlight. Avoid charging in shaded areas or during overcast conditions. Prolonged lack of sunlight may require a full USB-C charge.

Lights flicker or dim unexpectedly

This may indicate a low battery level. Recharge the unit fully. If flickering persists, it could be a sign of a faulty LED or battery; consider contacting support.

Power bank function not working

Verify that the string lights have sufficient battery charge. Ensure the cable connecting your device to the string lights is functional. The power bank is designed for small devices and may not provide sufficient power for larger electronics.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Unpack the Biolite Solar String Lights and the included USB to USB Cable. To charge, either place the integrated solar panel in direct sunlight for several hours or connect a USB-C power source. Once charged, the lights can be switched on using the integrated button. The nylon-braided cord includes loops or attachment points for easy hanging.

Compatibility: The string lights are compatible with standard USB-C charging cables for recharging. The power bank function is suitable for charging small electronic devices like smartphones, GPS units, or portable speakers.

Care: To maintain optimal performance, ensure the solar panel is kept clean and free from debris, especially before extended periods of sunlight. Wipe the bulbs and cord with a slightly damp cloth if cleaning is needed; avoid abrasive cleaners. Store in a dry place when not in use to prolong the lifespan of the battery and electronic components.
