Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up the Play-Doh Advent Calendar is straightforward. Simply place the box in an accessible area where it can be opened daily. No assembly is required for the calendar itself. The perforated pieces for the paper reindeer, sleigh, and Christmas tree can be popped out and assembled at any time, but are often best saved until a few days into the calendar to add to the festive anticipation.
Compatibility
This product is generally compatible with other Play-Doh sets and accessories. The 1-ounce Play-Doh cans are standard size, and the tools can be used with any Play-Doh compound. It's a standalone product but can seamlessly integrate into an existing Play-Doh collection.
Care & Maintenance
- Play-Doh Storage: To keep the Play-Doh soft and pliable, always return it to its sealed container or an airtight bag immediately after use. If it starts to harden, try adding a few drops of water and kneading it.
- Tool Cleaning: After each use, wipe off any excess Play-Doh from the tools. For stubborn bits, a small brush or toothpick can help. Ensure tools are clean and dry before storing.
- Surface Protection: Play-Doh is generally easy to clean, but it's always a good idea to use a placemat or designated play surface to protect tables and floors from potential residue.
- Allergen Information: Remember that Play-Doh contains wheat. Ensure proper handwashing after use, especially for children with sensitivities or allergies.
