Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These boards are designed for straightforward installation using standard woodworking tools. Ensure a proper substructure is in place. Cut boards to size as needed. Follow recommended spacing guidelines for expansion and contraction. Use composite deck screws designed for composite materials to prevent splitting and ensure a secure fit.
Compatibility: Compatible with standard decking substructures (wood or metal framing). Ensure that the framing allows for adequate ventilation beneath the deck. It is recommended to use fasteners specifically designed for composite decking to avoid issues.
Care: Clean the boards periodically with mild soap and water using a soft brush or cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the surface. Sweep regularly to remove debris. While the material is designed to resist fading, be aware that prolonged, intense sunlight may cause a slight color variation over many years. Ensure proper drainage to prevent water pooling.
