The Thomson Elite seatpost is over 40% stronger than the strongest production seatposts on the market, with double the fatigue life. The tube and head are integral-machined from one piece of high strength 7000 series Aluminium for superior strength and minimum weight. It features a natural ellipse bore inside the tube for an optimum strength-to-weight ratio and a long 1.614 inch (41mm) seat rail grip length to prevent seat rail bending from impact loads. The design incorporates a bending fuse to prevent catastrophic failure, allowing the seatpost to bend slightly under severe impact for a safe stop. All parts are captive and can be attached to a seat without disassembly. It offers infinite tilt adjustment from minus 5 degrees to plus 29 degrees, with very low profile clamps to prevent seat interference. The seatpost has passed extensive life and ultimate strength tests, with ongoing testing to ensure it meets Thomson standards. Impact absorbing clamps protect the seat, rails, and rider during heavy impact loads. Available in 330mm, 367mm, and 410mm lengths, and all seatpost sizes. Weight is 228g for the 330mm length.
