Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect for any transport damage.
- Placement: Choose a level, stable surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources (oven, radiators), and areas with excessive humidity. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance, especially at the back and sides, as specified in the user manual.
- Leveling: Use the adjustable feet to ensure the appliance is perfectly level. This is crucial for proper door sealing and efficient operation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry thoroughly.
- Power Connection: Plug the appliance into a dedicated earthed power socket. Wait for at least 2-4 hours before loading food, allowing the cooling system to stabilize.
Compatibility
- Dimensions: This model is a 70 cm wide appliance (FD 70 Series 3). Ensure your kitchen space or designated slot can accommodate these dimensions.
- Power: Requires a standard household electrical supply, as indicated in the product specifications.
Care & Maintenance
- No-Defrost Freezer: Thanks to Total No Frost technology, you will never have to manually defrost the freezer compartment. This significantly reduces maintenance.
- MyZone Drawer: Regularly clean the MyZone drawer. If you adjust its temperature, ensure it aligns with the food you are storing. Wipe down with a damp cloth.
- Interior Cleaning: Clean the interior regularly with a solution of warm water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Remove shelves and drawers for easier access.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel finishes (if applicable), use a specialized cleaner and wipe in the direction of the grain.
- Door Seals: Periodically check door seals for cleanliness and damage. Clean them gently to ensure a tight seal, which is vital for energy efficiency.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings (usually at the back) are not blocked by dust or other objects to maintain proper airflow for the compressor.
