Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the area where the strip will be applied. Ensure it is free from dust, soap scum, grease, and any other residue.
- Dry the Surface: Completely dry the surface. Moisture will prevent the adhesive from bonding properly.
- Measure and Cut: Measure the required length and cut the strip to size using scissors or a utility knife.
- Peel and Stick: Carefully peel off the adhesive backing paper. Press the strip firmly onto the clean, dry surface, ensuring good contact.
- Apply Sealant (Recommended): For enhanced durability and water resistance, apply a bead of silicone sealant along both edges of the strip where it meets the surface. Smooth the sealant and allow it to cure for at least 12 hours before exposing the area to water.
Compatibility:
This sealant strip is designed for smooth, non-porous surfaces such as tile, ceramic, glass, and finished metal. It is not recommended for use on rough, textured, or unsealed surfaces.
Care:
To clean the strip, simply wipe it with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the material. Regularly check the edges for any signs of peeling or damage, and reapply sealant if necessary.
