Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Inspect the Mask: Before each use, check the mask for any signs of damage, such as cracks or tears in the facepiece or straps.
- Select the Correct Filters: Choose the appropriate 3M filters based on the specific hazards you will be exposed to. Ensure the filters are compatible with the mask.
- Attach the Filters: Align the filters with the bayonet connectors on the mask and twist them into place until secure.
- Fit the Mask: Place the mask over your face, ensuring a tight seal. Adjust the straps for a snug and comfortable fit.
- Perform a Seal Check: Cover the filter(s) with your palms and inhale gently. If the mask collapses slightly and holds, the seal is good. If air leaks, readjust the mask and straps.
Compatibility
The 3M 6000 Series Full Face Mask is compatible with a wide range of 3M filters, including those for gases, vapors, and particulates. Always refer to the filter packaging and 3M's guidelines for specific compatibility information.

- Storage: Store the mask in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and contaminants.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the mask for damage. Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately.
- Filter Replacement: Replace filters according to the manufacturer's recommendations or when breathing becomes difficult.
