Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To set up the TS101, first ensure you have a compatible power source. Connect your DC power supply to the DC5525 port or a USB-C PD power adapter to the USB-C port. The device will power on automatically. Use the A-B buttons to navigate the menu and adjust the target temperature. The soldering tip is pre-installed, but if you need to replace it, simply unscrew the collar, remove the old tip, insert the new one, and retighten the collar.
Compatibility: The TS101 is compatible with all TS100 soldering iron tips. For power input, it supports DC 9-24V (up to 65W) via the DC5525 jack and PD3.0/PD3.1 (9-20V up to 45W, or 9-28V up to 90W with updated firmware) via the USB-C port. Ensure your power adapter meets these specifications.
Care: To maintain the TS101, always allow the unit to cool down before storing. Clean the soldering tip regularly with a damp sponge or brass wool to remove oxidation and flux residue. Periodically check the tip for wear and replace it as needed. Avoid exposing the unit to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures. The exterior can be wiped clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Firmware updates can be performed via the USB-C port.
