Bosch introduces the 5.0Ah Coolpack battery to their 18v range of blue power tools. It is fully compatible with existing power tools and chargers that charge the 4.0 and 3.0ah Cool Pack batteries. Featuring electronic coding for tools and chargers, high power contacts with silver coating, a capacity indicator with 3 LEDs, red Cool Pack housing constructed of heat conductive material, an in-built temperature sensor, a large ergonomic release button for ease of use, a robust housing, and a slide-in interface. Efficient Bosch cooling technology in and around the battery prevents heat damage, giving up to 65 percent longer run-time and up to 100 percent longer lifetime. The 5.0Ah Cool Pack cells have finer 'windings' than 3.0Ah, allowing more power density in the same pack size with less electrical resistance, making it more efficient. The Battery Premium Service is an extension of the scope of services (regarding validity period and content) of the existing 3-year warranty offer, requiring registration of batteries with part and serial number and provision of sales receipt and registration certificate when batteries are sent in for service. 5.0 Ah Coolpacks have finer cell windings than 3.0 Ah, allowing more power density (more fuel (Ah) in the same pack size) and less electrical resistance / greater fuel efficiency (run-time per Ah). User benefits of the Bosch 5ah Cool Pack include no need to change battery packs so often and the fastest charging solution for 18V 5.0Ah battery packs on the market. Heat commonly caused by electrical resistance can damage or even kill cells. Bosch CoolPack technology inside and around the pack balances and dissipates this heat effectively, so the batteries stay cooler and live longer. These Coolpack batteries are also the lightest and most compact on the market at 600g.
