The composting time depends on various factors, including the materials used, moisture levels, and temperature. Generally, you can expect to have usable compost within 6-12 months.

You can compost a wide variety of organic materials, including fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, tea bags, grass clippings, leaves, and shredded paper.

Avoid adding meat, dairy products, oily foods, diseased plants, pet waste, and any materials treated with pesticides.

Turn the compost pile every 2-4 weeks to aerate it and speed up decomposition.

Finished compost will have a dark, crumbly appearance and an earthy smell.
