Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To use these rivets, you will need a standard hand or pneumatic riveter. Select a rivet of the appropriate size for the thickness of the materials you are joining. Drill a hole through both materials that is the same diameter as the rivet shank. Insert the rivet through the aligned holes. Place the nose of the riveter into the rivet head and squeeze the handles (or activate the tool) to draw the mandrel through, setting the rivet. The mandrel will break off at the designated point, leaving a secure joint.
Compatibility: These rivets are designed for joining materials like sheet metal, plastic, and some wood applications. Ensure the combined thickness of the materials falls within the optimal range for a 16mm rivet length. The RAL 9005 Black finish is compatible with most materials, but consider if extreme temperature fluctuations or chemical exposure might affect the finish or the Aluminium/Steel core.
Care: Once installed, these rivets require no ongoing care. Inspect periodically for any signs of stress or corrosion if used in demanding environments. Store unused rivets in a dry place to prevent premature corrosion or damage.
