Setup, Compatibility & Care
To maximize the lifespan of your Snowdon Timber posts, ensure they are set in a concrete or high-quality aggregate base when placed in the ground to prevent standing water from pooling around the timber. While the post is treated for durability, any custom cuts made during installation should be sealed with a high-quality timber preservative to maintain the integrity of the treatment.
Regular maintenance involves simple visual inspections once per year for any signs of surface wear or loosening of the soil around the base. If you choose to paint or stain the posts, ensure the timber has fully dried after the initial installation period, and use a breathable wood finish suitable for treated exterior timber.
