FAQs

What is the main benefit of the Offbox 36 Roost?

The main benefit is providing secure, stable, and protective storage for multiple fishing rods during a session, keeping them organized and accessible.

How many sections are available?

The Offbox 36 Roost is available in both 6-section and 8-section options.

Will this fit any fishing seatbox?

It is designed to fit most seatboxes with standard Offbox 36 fittings or compatible leg diameters. Always check compatibility with your specific seatbox.

How do I clean the roost?

Rinse with fresh water after use and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents.

Does the soft Duplon material wear out?

The Duplon material is durable, but like all materials, it can wear over time. Regular cleaning helps maintain its condition and protective qualities.

Can I attach accessories to the roost itself?

The Offbox 36 Roost is primarily designed for rod storage. While some accessories might have compatible fittings, its main function is rod rest.

Troubleshooting

Roost feels unstable

Ensure the screw thread is fully tightened onto the seatbox leg. Check that the seatbox leg itself is firmly planted and stable.

Difficulty attaching the roost

Verify that you are attempting to attach it to a compatible Offbox 36 fitting. Ensure the threads are clean and free from debris.

Damage to rod blanks

Ensure the Duplon grips are clean and free from grit. If grips are worn, consider replacement to maintain protection.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Offbox 36 Roost features a standard screw thread. To set up, simply screw the roost onto a compatible seatbox leg or accessory arm. Ensure the thread is fully engaged and tightened securely for stability.

Compatibility: This roost is designed to fit most standard seatbox legs with an Offbox 36 attachment point. It is recommended to check the diameter of your seatbox legs and the specifications of the Offbox system if you are unsure.

Care: Clean the roost regularly with fresh water to remove mud, silt, and salt. A soft cloth can be used for drying. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, which could damage the Duplon grips or finish.
