The Shires Double Jointed Pelham Bit with Sweet Iron Mouthpiece is designed to enhance control while promoting a softer feel in the horse's mouth. The sweet iron material encourages acceptance, and raised copper ribs help prevent the horse from taking too much of a hold. This bit works on multiple pressure points including the poll, corners, bars, tongue, and chin groove. The double-jointed mouthpiece reduces the direct nutcracker action. Available in 4.5", 5.0", 5.5", or 6.0". Mouthpiece thickness is 16mm and cheek height is 135mm.
