The Whale Watermaster Socket Lid is an essential replacement component for caravan and motorhome owners using the Whale Watermaster system. It is designed for those looking to restore the protective seal of their external water socket, ensuring that internal electronics and connections remain shielded from dirt, moisture, and debris. While it offers a perfect aesthetic and functional match for the existing housing, users should note that this is a specific replacement part designed strictly for the Whale Watermaster series and is not compatible with other brand socket housings.

This lid is specifically engineered for the Whale Watermaster system. It may not fit older Whale designs or different product lines.
No, the lid is designed as a snap-fit component and can typically be installed by hand.
No, this is only the external socket lid. The internal pressure switch is sold separately.
While the plastic can be painted, it is not recommended as paint may crack or peel due to the flexibility of the lid hinges and environmental exposure.
Look for the Whale branding embossed on the socket cover or the product reference number AK1401 on your existing components.
Check if the latching tab on the lid or the socket housing is obstructed by debris; clean the area and ensure the hinge is seated correctly.
Ensure the socket housing is not warped; apply gentle pressure to the hinge pins, and verify they are correctly aligned with the mounting holes.
To replace the lid, align the hinge pins of the new cover with the mounting points on the existing socket housing and gently click them into place. If you are replacing a broken unit, ensure that any remnants of the old hinge pins are fully removed from the housing before attempting to seat the new part.
Compatibility: This part is exclusively compatible with the Whale Watermaster range.
Care Instructions: To extend the life of the lid, periodically wipe the rubber gasket seal with a damp cloth to remove any accumulated salt or dirt, which ensures a tighter fit. Avoid using abrasive chemicals or solvent-based cleaners that may cause the plastic to become brittle over time.
