FAQs

How do I clean the Groundmaster Gutter Guard Brush?

The brush is designed to be maintenance-free. Its purpose is to stop debris from entering the gutter, and any debris that lands on top can usually be washed away by rain or fall off naturally. No specific cleaning is required.

What is the warranty on this product?

As Groundmaster is a brand known for quality, value, and service, it typically offers a standard manufacturer's warranty. Please refer to the product packaging or the retailer's information for specific warranty terms.

Can I cut the brush to size?

Yes, the brush is flexible and can be cut to the required length using sturdy scissors or cutters if a precise fit is needed, though it's designed to be inserted as is.

Will this product stop all types of debris?

The brush is highly effective against common debris like leaves, twigs, and moss. Very fine materials like sand or gravel might not be entirely blocked, and exceptionally large or heavy debris may accumulate on top and require manual clearing.

How long does the Groundmaster Gutter Guard Brush typically last?

The brush is made from UV-resistant materials designed to withstand various weather conditions. With proper installation and no excessive force, it can last for many years.

What are the dimensions of the brush?

The brush is designed to fit gutters with an internal width of 100mm to 116mm. The length of this specific product is 36 meters.

Troubleshooting

Brush does not fit snugly

Ensure you are within the 100-116mm compatible gutter width range. For minor gaps, reposition the brush or consider using a slightly wider brush if available for your gutter size.

Debris is still accumulating

Check if the debris is larger than what the brush can effectively stop, or if it's accumulating on top of the brush. Heavy, wet leaves may still require periodic removal from the brush surface. Ensure the brush is fully seated in the gutter.

Brush seems to be missing or dislodged

This is uncommon. Ensure the brush is fully inserted and has adequate overlap with adjacent sections. In high-wind areas, consider securing the ends with non-corrosive clips if any movement is observed.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Easy to install without tools.
  • Significantly reduces gutter cleaning frequency.
  • Helps prevent water damage to property.
  • Durable and weather-resistant construction.
  • Fits a wide range of standard gutters.

Cons

  • May not fit very narrow or very wide non-standard gutters.
  • Heavier debris like wet leaves might still accumulate at the base.
  • Not suitable for preventing small debris like sand or fine dirt if they are the primary issue.
  • Requires manual removal if large amounts of debris build up on top.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Ensure gutters are clean before installation.
  2. Simply unroll the Groundmaster Gutter Guard Brush.
  3. Insert the brush directly into the gutter channel, pushing it down so it sits snugly.
  4. For longer runs, butt the ends of multiple brushes together.
  5. If necessary, the brush can be trimmed to size with sturdy scissors or cutters, although this is rarely needed due to its flexible nature.

Compatibility:

  • This brush is designed for gutters with an internal width of 100mm to 116mm. It is compatible with most standard half-round and ogee profile gutters.

Care:

  • The Groundmaster Gutter Guard Brush is designed to be maintenance-free. No regular cleaning is required. Its UV-resistant material ensures longevity. Periodic visual inspection is recommended to ensure no large debris has settled on top of the brush.
