Assembly
The Muddyfox Path typically requires some assembly upon delivery. Follow these steps:
- Attach the handlebars, ensuring they are properly aligned and tightened.
- Install the front wheel, making sure it is securely fastened.
- Attach the pedals to the crank arms (note: pedals are side-specific).
- Adjust the seat height for a comfortable riding position.
- Check and inflate the tires to the recommended pressure (printed on the tire sidewall).
If you're not comfortable with these steps, consider having a professional bike mechanic assemble the bike.
Compatibility
- Tires: Compatible with 700c tires; the included tires are 700x40c.
- Brakes: Uses steel V-brakes; replacement pads are readily available.
- Gears: Uses a Microshift drivetrain.
Care
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the frame and components with a mild detergent and water. Avoid using high-pressure washers.
- Lubrication: Lubricate the chain regularly with bike chain lubricant to ensure smooth shifting and prevent rust.
- Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure before each ride.
- Brake Inspection: Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and replace as needed.
